Snack Competition
 
  1. Snack should be made by using whole grains, be healthy and original. Creativity and presentation will score high.
  2. One snack per person is allowed.
  3. All entries needs to be displayed in one place for judging and viewing.
  4. Critiria for scoring points--- use of whole grains, healthy, use of fruits/vegetables in creative ways; fried snacks will score low points.
  5. Information from contestant ---Names written clearly, Ingredients used.

COMPETITIONS REGISTRATION FORM
 
(All participants for the competition should be registered for the VSNA Convention 2010)
 
Competition Rules:
 
Coloring: Crayons and a picture will be provided for each participant.
 
Vachana (kids): Each participant should mention the title of the Vachana and its author. Participants in age group B & C should recite/sing, explain the meaning and the influence of the vachana in daily life.
 
Vachana (adults): Each participant should mention the title of the Vachana, its author, recite and explain the meaning and the influence of the vachana in daily life.
 
Classical Dance: The theme of the dance should be related to Veerashaivism such as vachana or Shiva dances. One dance allowed per participant. Participants are responsible for their props and costumes. Audio on a cassette or a CD should be handed to the Program committee well in advance.
 
Instrumental Music: Participants should bring their own instruments. Instrument should be specified during registration.
 
Rangoli: Participants should bring their own items.
 
Essay Topics: Participants are required to write the essay in English or Kannada on-site at the allotted time during the convention. One of the essay topics can be chosen from the topics given below. A minimum of 2 hand written pages required. Necessary materials will be provided.
 
I. Sthavarakkalivuntu Jangamakkalivilla : Open to all.
II. Practicing Veerashaiva qualities in day today life: For 12-17 group
III. Veerashaiva Philosophy and other religions : Open to all
IV. About Any Vachana-kararu (Author): Only for kids 7-11.
